Tayvia R – President
I want to see student council raise more money than we did last year. I wish to make student council events successful where everyone wants to participate. If this happens, every student will enjoy school and we could use the money for fun activities.

Being on student council helps me learn about our school and our community, and it helps bring out my creativity. I know that with all of our creative ideas, we can make a difference in student’s everyday school lives. I want the student council to create fun events and rewards for after big tests like the PARCC. I want to help kids enjoy school!

The reason I ran for student council is because I love to lead and make up cool ideas. Mostly I LOVE making people happy with my ideas. I want to see student council accomplish giving at least 200 cans to the food drive this year I want us to donate money to an animal shelter and last but not least make this school year the best ever.

Pink Jeans Day, 10/24

Student Council is organizing a fundraiser for Friday, October 24. Pay $1 to wear a pink shirt and jeans. A portion of the proceeds will go towards breast cancer research.

Classrooms with the most participation will win a no homework pass and a raffle ticket to win a classroom prize bag.

There will be a raffle for October- January winners and a raffle for February – May winners. New for this year…in order for students to be counted as “participating,” students must pay $1 and also be in a pink shirt (or whatever the theme is that month).

Guess How Much Penny Wars Raised

Penny Wars raised $1,875 dollars!

The winners were Ms. Manas room 109, Ms. Tseng room 124 and Ms. Yorick room 207.
