Our LaSalle II students proudly performed at the Chicago Children’s Choir 2014 Black History Month Concert in the grand ballroom at Navy Pier on Wednesday, February 26. Our performers did an excellent job singing Power and Glory on the huge stage as part of the full program, which featured over 20 schools. The program featured 10 choral performances, two schools at a time, intermixed with combined all-choir singing and powerful historical video in honor of the 50th anniversary of the 1964 Civil Rights Act. You could see the smiling faces and the ‘moves’ when all were singing songs such as Dancing in the Street.
