Our long-time security guard Mr. Santiago is retiring on May 28th. We are very thankful for his many years of service at LaSalle II. Ray started working at LaSalle II when his grandson Jacob was a student here! Since that time, Ray has enjoyed forming relationships with so many students, especially those of whom he had the chance to coach in basketball, football, softball, and more. Ray is often referred to as the father of the LS2 sports program, was the first recipient of the Clinton Ross award for excellence in coaching, and has led his teams to win many championships. In his retirement, Ray and his wife Lucy plan to travel as often as they can and spend more time with their grandchildren. Congratulations, Ray, and thanks for all you’ve done for LaSalle II!
Be sure to wish him well if you see him on the playground in the mornings next week!
