Our fourth annual Healthy Family Fest will be held on Sunday, October 5. LaSalle II Wolcott Playground. Rain or Shine! (if rain we’ll be inside the school) This is a free event for all LaSalle II Families!
Three areas that we need help with are set up, check in, and clean up. Please check out the following document and add your name to any of the assignments you would like to help with during the event.

Ms. Albani, Coach Rodriguez and our cross country team will be leading our Fun Run around the neighborhood to kick off the event. All day, there will be food samples from Native Foods, Enjoy Life and Dream Dinners, our Famous Farmers Market and Smoothies made using a bike powered smoothie maker! After you fill up on samples, head over to the Football Combine, then over to the Slacklining area, or try out a demo class. Visit one of the many tables where you can get a Chair Massage, Blood Pressure Check, Green Living/Sustainability Tips and do some Crafts.
If you’re hungry again, All Natural Catering and Crepe a la francaise will be selling some lunch food.
Raffle tickets given out for participation in demo classes and for visiting information tables. Bring your own water bottle to use at the fest and earn a raffle ticket.
Also, help your kids express their wholesome selves during Wellness Week leading up to Healthy Family Fest. We will have a fun, online Wellness Journal this year, which will showcase school participation at the end of the week. Follow the link, and have fun filling it in everyday with your children. Remember, it’s not intended to create more work for anyone, but to get families thinking about health on a broad level…not only nutrition and exercise, but also sleep, laughter, positive relationships, feeling useful and proud, etc. Please note that there are a few additional links for using the journal.
