The students in 213 have been on several field trips over the last two years and have taken
notice of the number of people in need, who we encounter along the way. We discussed the
best ways for our class to help them out and decided to make “goody bags”. The teachers,
students and their families collected food items, socks, hats and toiletries to fill up “goody bags”.
The students took to the streets during Thanksgiving week and passed them out to those in
need in our community and downtown. It was a great experience for all involved! We will
continue to take bags with us on our future trips, just in case we see someone who could benefit from some additional goodies.
